When Major League Baseball heads across the pond at the end of June for the first-ever regular season games in London, Beacon Athletics will be there, too. MLB’s field consultant for the games, Murray Cook, will have his crew using the Beacon SweetSpot Tamp as well as various Beacon infield drags and nail drags and spikers.
What makes the European matchup of the Yankees and Red Sox even more intriguing is they’ll be playing on artificial turf at London’s Olympic Stadium — the first time they’ve ever met on synthetic turf in the history of their iconic rivalry.
