Live Lawn and Prosper (June 5, 2015)

Fifteen years ago Paul left the Baltimore Orioles. This week we start in the Bullpen where Paul tells us about how he got his start in the MLB. Then we call his old teammates, Rodney Lane (former assistant head groundskeeper with the Orioles) and Rob Doetsch (tarp crew foreman with the Orioles). The guys have some great stories about pulling tarp, the All-Star Game, and building Camden Yards. The show closes out with Paul’s thoughts on how being on a grounds crew teaches us some really great lessons and how the crew functions so much like a family. Bonus: Theresa tells us how she and Paul met and how Star Wars and a fortuitous pair of khaki pants led to him becoming her mentor.
